I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:5 NIV
We have to remain in Jesus — stay connected to Him — if we want to be fruitful and productive in our lives.
You Are Stronger as a Part of the Body
Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. Romans 12:4-5 NLT
An important way that we stay connected to Jesus is by connecting with other Christians. Together, we form His body and through this body we bear fruit for Him.
Each part of the body depends on the other for survival.
You can’t go it alone in this life. By yourself, you are an easy target for our spiritual enemy, the devil. However, when you join forces with other believers, you become stronger.
A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT
Surround yourself with other like-minded believers. This is an essential way to copy Jesus.
Be United with Christ and Others
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. Matthew 19:20 ESV
When we are connected to one another, we strengthen our bond with Jesus. We compliment one another as a part of one body. Stop trying to isolate yourself and learn to stay connected with Jesus and with other Christians. It is vital to your spiritual health.
