For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 NIV
Thousand of years before the birth of Jesus, the prophet Isaiah told us that we should expect a miracle from God. He foretold that a virgin would be with child and would give birth to a son. He later describes this miracle baby in the verse above.
Jesus Is Still Performing Miracles
What miracle are you expecting from God today? He’s still active. He’s still working all things together in miraculous ways for the good of those who love Him!
In a few days, we will celebrate the fulfillment of the wondrous birth that Isaiah told us to expect. However, the birth of our Savior in that manger was just the beginning! Jesus fulfilled the prophecy, but He isn’t done. We can still expect miracles from Him.
A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said. Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” Instantly the leprosy disappeared, and the man was healed. Mark 1:40-42 NLT
My God is full of compassion, mercy and love. If you are in need of a miracle today, then I encourage you to kneel down before Jesus and ask Him for what you need.
God Can Do Miracles Beyond Your Wildest Dreams
